Why should I share my contacts?

By sharing your contacts you can see the contacts of other users in a WorkVoices network. It make the network of your network visible. In case you need a specific  contact with a company, you immediately know which person in your network to contact.

What does this setting do?

With WorkVoices you can share your LinkedIn connections with other users in the same network on WorkVoices. This is a user setting per network. Please visit your other networks to share your contacts there as well.

Can my contacts be contacted directly?

No. Even when you shared your contacts, other users of the network can only find these persons by searching for it. They can not contact your contacts, neither will be send out any emails to those contacts. We simply provide a way to show which users is in contact with which external contact.

NOTE: Sometimes not all contacts are displayed. LinkedIn leaves out random fields, which can then not be processed by WorkVoices. The issue is known at LinkedIn (http://developer.linkedin.com/thread/2976). It is unclear if LinkedIn is taking action to solve this.
